Overview: This was a re-roofing project, the base scope included all work associated with the removal and replacement of the existing roofing and insulation down to the lightweight concrete deck and the installation of a new insulated PVC roofing system. The scope also included the replacement of all 23 VELUX skylights

Installation: The 20-year warranted PVC roofing system is comprised of a lightweight concrete deck, a nailed polyester reinforced SBS asphalt base sheet, 2 layers of 3.0 inch Sarnatherm (20 PSI) polyiso insulation and Sarnatherm ½” HD Roof Board-H adhered to the base sheet with 2-part urethane adhesive, and a white 72 mil. EnergySmart PVC membrane with 60 mil. PVC base flashings adhered to the substrate with PVC low-VOC adhesive. Perimeter metal included parapet metal coping, fascia, counter flashing, and PVC-clad through-wall drainage scuppers all fabricated in DKG’s modern sheet metal shop.
