Overview: The SMNHC is a three-building, new construction project comprised of a museum, administrative offices, kitchen, rest rooms, classrooms, and multi-purpose building. The subcontractor awards were pre-qualification based and not necessarily, low bid.
Installation: The 22 ga. pre-finished metal roofs are double lock standing seam with a 16” width and 1 1/2” depth installed directly over a self-adhering underlayment and 6 inches of polyisocyanurate insulation (R-value- 34.8) over a 22 ga. structural metal deck. DKG roll formed the panels and fabricated all sheet metal trims, fascia and counter flashings. A snow retention system was installed to reduce the risk of sliding snow off of metal roofs. The Owner received a manufacturer’s 20 Year No Dollar Limit Labor and Material Warranty.
